Mrs. O.K.’s Pond

What’s new in Mrs. O.K.’s 3rd Grade

About Mrs. O.K.

I was born in Southern California on Christmas Eve in 1967.  I grew up in Orange County, around Newport Beach area.  I Graduated from California State University at Fullerton with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Child Development.  I went on to complete my Master’s Degree in Teaching at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.  I have been in Early Childhood Education for about 12 years, during which I owned my own childcare center.

I am happily married to Aaron Kaylor who has grown up in Branson.  We have two brilliant boys, J.P. who is 16yrs. and JonPaul who is 12yrs.  We make our home in Hollister, Mo. where we are slowly building a wonderful home.

I enjoy the outdoors and we especially love the lake and spending time on the boat or out at the dock.  We enjoy all water sports and even go scuba diving as a family.  This winter we traveled to the Western Caribbean to scuba dive in Roatan, Honduras (for my 40th birthday). We encountered about 15 – 20 sharks while we were down about 70 feet on the reef.

I love animals.  Frogs are indeed my favorite, but I have bonded with four very sweet dogs.  Two are Pekingese and are named Buddy and Belle.  I have a Black Lab named Duke, and a Beagle named Beauty.  I also have inherited three chickens and a hedgehog named Molly from previous students of mine.  Molly is now our classroom pet.

I love being a wife and mother and enjoy teaching very much!
